Remortgaging
Remortgaging could save you money and it may
be easier than you think. It's worth considering
if the fixed or discounted period of your current
mortgage is coming to an end, or if your home has
risen in value and you are looking to release some
equity. Switching your mortgage can also be a
cost-effective way of borrowing larger sums of
money at lower interest rates.

Why switching makes sense
In the extremely competitive mortgage market lenders are constantly offering better deals to remortgage customers in order to secure new business. Many mortgage schemes give the borrower a preferential rate for the first 2 or 3 years and then, if you do not remortgage to a new lender the rate can rocket up to the lenders current standard Variable Rate.

This rate can sometimes be over 3 percentage points higher than the initial preferential rate. Therefore, it is very advantageous to review your mortgage every 2-3 years. When you become a customer of A Mortgage, we will contact you 3-4 months prior to the end of your preferential rate so that we can review your mortgage situation and ensure that you will never pay more for your mortgage than you should.

If you are currently tied in to your current lender, you can sign up for our remortgage reminder service and we will contact you 3-4 months prior to the end of your current deal and make sure that your mortgage is reviewed and transferred to a better rate before you ever go on to your current lenders Standard Variable Rate.

A Mortgage specialises in Remortgages and is fully qualified to assist with all aspects of your remortgage.
